The Office of Summer & Winter Programs awards a limited number of full and partial scholarships to UMBC degree-seeking students who have a high GPA and are close to graduating. Financial need (based on student’s FAFSA information) is also considered.


Cost of Attendance (COA)

Please be aware that scholarship awards will be decreased if the amount of the scholarship exceeds the student's Cost of Attendance (COA) budget.

Financial aid

If you received a federal Pell Grant during the Fall 2018 and/or Spring 2019 semesters, you may be eligible to receive additional Pell Grant funding to pay towards the cost of your Summer Session 2019 course(s). If you have remaining federal Subsidized and/or Unsubsidized Direct Loan eligibility from the Fall 2018 and/or Spring 2019 semesters, you may be able to borrow these funds for Summer Session 2018.

Additionally, Federal Direct Parent PLUS Loans and/or private student loans may be available to help you pay for summer classes.
